Gold-Filled Pendants
.. what is gold-filled??
Yondale Designs' utilises gold-filled components in the
majority of our designs. With the price
of gold ever increasing, solid gold jewellery is becoming
unaffordable. These gold pendants are manufactured for
quality but take the rising cost of gold into consideration.
With a thicker gold layer than many plated products, our
gold pendants** are batch tested to a targeted 3
micron thick gold layer, which is heat and pressure bonded
(not plated) to an internal jewellers’ brass
piece. This thicker layer and the method of gold
application, creates an affordable alternative.
Our richly coloured 18ct gold-filled components (Golden
Tackers, Little Golden Tackers, Golden Tokens, Golden Puffy
Heart and Gold-filled Openwork Family Trees) are custom made
for Yondale Designs. The balance designs in our
gold-filled range are 14ct gold-filled.
Please note however, we do not guarantee, nor recommend
daily wear of gold-filled jewellery without expectation of
loss of longevity, or general wear. We are and remain
committed to being very upfront with
our products and tell people that whilst gold-fill is meant
to be more durable than gold plate, it is, in our opinion
still a plated product. We recommend and advise that
if you want a piece of gold jewellery to 'last a lifetime'
or to bequeath to a family member, put your money towards 9ct
gold jewellery.
There are many
options and variations of a theme available with this line
of gold-filled product. Mix and match discs, throw a
splash of gold into a line of silver discs, the
possibilities are endless, with the end results all
stunning...
We carry a
variety of gold-filled chains, and varying sizes of
gold-filled circular discs (if you are after a layered
effect as seen in 'Tiers in Time'), as well as the designs
found below..
